This took me ages to finish, and by the end, I was just relieved I had finally managed to. The book was pretty slow in places, with less action than the others. I'm a fan of this series. I started it when it first came out. I realized last year that I've fallen behind and going to try to catch up this year. I love Kitty + ginormous gang. Since it's been a while, it was nice to have small recaps thrown in during the first portion of the book, but certain parts became redundant & repetitive as the story continued. Too much of a good thing can become annoying when they take up space rather than give relevant or new details for a good plot. Quirks are fine....

Let me start by saying that I love Gini Koch's Alien series and the latest book, Alien in the House, is no exception. Koch writes with a frenetic energy that is filled with action, romance and a large dose of humor, but this book was slight departure from the norm. Read 2014 - I absolutely love this series. Another "Washington" story but I still enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see Jamie’s potential, if Kitty has another kid, if we are gonna continue with the thick diplomacy plots, and all that. Gonna start the next book now!

Another Washington novel. I feel ever since Jamie came a long the stories are starting to slip and be more cliche. But it's not even Jamie's fault just the focus of the stories has changed. I still enjoy this series but the focus on this one was too much on Kat and the new characters less on the original team which was sad. I hope the series picks up from here.

I've not read the prior books, so not sure if that's what made this a harder read for me. This is a very clunky book, that could have been tightened up and shortened. Parts just tried too hard and my attention wandered at the overuse of capital letter emphasis for nearly everything. Decent plot, good characters but the writing style wasn't my favorite.
