The good:-Great meaning added, for example the meaning of the protagonist, the changing of the colors depending the protagonist mind state, etc.-Good art.-The father and son story was interesting. The bad:-The story was too simple.-Daniel Cross was not going anywhere in reality.-The rhythm had troubles, everything was rushed.
*3.5
This one was so much better than the first one! I'd love to see what happens next, but sadly there doesn't seem to be any continuation of this story line.
The second and last comic chronicling the last days of Assassin Orelov and how Daniel Cross came to be who we see him as in the games. It doesn't fill in all the gaps, but the narrative it expands upon is satisfying in a way that is very much readable on its own without the context of the rest of the franchise. Stewart's art could feel a little cartoonish given the art direction of the games but it works very much in its favour with destinct character designs and action poses. The Fall and this a...
One of those times when I wish I could give a book 3.5 stars. Slightly different in flavor from "The Fall", but almost as enjoyable.
Daniel Cross showed his past. That is all.
This comic gives an insight into the life of Daniel Cross. The story narrated is both from his past ancestry and his present life. Bonne lecture!
Although 1920s rural America isn't as interesting as Revolutionary Russia, Assassin's Creed: The Chain is still a fantastic read pretty much on par with its predecessor Assassin's Creed: The Fall. Daniel Cross' story comes full circle here in a fantastic second go for Kerschl and Stewart full of great artwork.
Not bad. A quick read and a small look into Daniel's past. Family above everything else.
Good book
Assassin's Creed Russia? I am all in.
The metamorphoses that is an inception of anew perspective of the huge story of AssassinCreed.I found the comic very amusing, but also very immoral because the path of a persons life is reckoned by the fondness toward a believe, and his dedication towards that believe, but there was neither dedication not fondness but mere a happening that unfolded path of an other path.I feel that the lead character was himself doubtful about his path; perhaps that even he had also excepted that there is nothin...
Granted this is the sequel in this series so I am jumping on in the middle of it. But, I still really enjoyed this one because of the characters and mythology, despite my limited knowledge of the games. Hope to read more in this series. I like the storytelling and action scenes featured here.
A simple comic book giving insight towards Daniel Cross's life, I would only recommend this to the more hardcore of Assassins Creed followers. And as I am such, I believe this book is a nice tidbit of a treat to read; especially since there may be some that are a little bored with Desmond. There is nothing happy to this story so don't expect anything positive to happen in his life. The art is amazing, and does a great job at keeping my interest when time flashes back in the days of the Russian A...
Wow! This is much more eventful than its prequel! The story of Subject 4 and his ancestors progresses on a faster pace.I liked the background I was given, and I was left wanting more.I'm very intrigued to know more about Orelov and his son. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM GODDAMMIT?!!!
