Nice, bold graphics, lots of potential. I'm looking forward to getting more into the fox/supernatural part of the story in the next chapter.
I also read chapter 2, 3 and 4; http://www.thefoxsister.com/index.php... now waiting for more :)
Getting really sick of seeing romances where "no" means "just keep pestering her until she says yes".
The artwork is beautiful and the writing is brilliant. The creative team behind Fox Sister took the time to do some serious research on Korea in the 1960s, and it shows. The story moves along nicely and the characters are well developed. Best of all, the dialog is snappy.Sadly, the webcomic version seems to have come to a halt, but this paper edition of the first part of the story is worth reading more than once.
★★★★ = I may not read it again but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Beautiful art and fabulous pacing make The Fox Sister a great modern retelling of the classic Korean folk tale.
Oh...I never thought I'd see one - a kitsune horror story done right.Nightfall had kitsune villains, sure...but they never really felt like they were an actual threat. The kitsune in The Fox Sister, though...it is cruel. It is malicious. It takes great delight in tormenting the main character, Yun Hee, going so far as to mockingly disguise itself as Yun's sister that it murdered.I'd enjoy this story just on the premise, but the artwork is very nice, as well. It's not quite as cartoonish as you'd
It's disappointing that this was abandoned, but it's okay, I guess. I didn't really like Alex, but otherwise it was a worthwhile story.
Not an awful little webcomic. Decent atmosphere and okay characters. The love story is tolerable but it also has its lows, featuring characters reactions that I couldn't quite reconcile with their previous attitudes. It isn't the worst thing I've ever read and it definitely could be better, but it's still enjoyable.
For my comic loving friends: if you're not reading this, you should be.
The Fox Sister opens with a rather ominous definition regarding a Korean fox demon and a scene that gives a glimpse of what torments main character Yun Hee. She searches to put that that torment to rest, while dealing with day to day inconveniences like the persistent young American who her dog has taken a liking to. I'm being intentionally vague and in trying not to spoil the plot probably not doing it justice. I liked this comic a lot. The overarching story is very interesting and the characte...
Eerie and beautiful.
I've been reading this online at http://thefoxsister.com/.Although the artist is not consistent with the updates, every page is worth the wait.I'm not that big a fan of manga art, this story does have some manga-ish look, but seems to transcend it and has a manga/european type of look which makes it a pleasure to look at.The story has managed to get its hook into me and I look forward to seeing each and every update... I just wish they would come more often.I didn't know there was a printed edit...
