While it wasn't the greatest rock story I've read as it's just been done by others (over kill, same old same old story line)but in saying that I did enjoy it, it kept me captivated from the start and will definitely keep an eye out for book 2..Very quick easy read to be done in one sitting..
They used to date. She dumped him for going nowhere as a musician and now is is world famous. She has to interview him. They haven't got over each other. That is pretty much it.
He's a rock musician that loves a curvy girl ... SOLD. This is the first part of Kate and Gage's story after a bad break up they meet again. Kate is assigned to interview Gage after his career has taken off and is now a rock god. Kate, the practical one, is not where she thought she would be in life. She broke up with Gage because she thought he was heading down a dead end path. Yeah, so about that. Boy was she wrong and when they meet again the fireworks are still there and they end up lighting...
This was a hot read. Don't want to give too much away since it was such a fast read. I think everyone can understand the pull of the one that got away, or the one you let go. Kate never expected to see Gage again and now that she has to interview him for her job, she come face to face with the man she can't forget even five years after SHE broke up with him. She wanted him to be more responsible, to have a 'real' career. She didn't have the faith in him that he wanted her to. Face to face again
The story was a bit banal and the ending was nonexistent. $2.99 for a short story that just ended with absolutely no resolution. Sorry but this just was not worth the price tag. At all.
To be honest, I really just read this because of the rockstar. I'm a sucker for one. Um, despite the number of pages and a few grammatical errors, I couldn't find any more reason to, not hate the story, but to actually judge it. I've read merely a dozen of adult novels but I find this intriguing. The cover is cool, it represents a really really adult-y commotion. The flow was a bit tad slow, the pacing as well, and I just sort of got pissed because I don't know, they're just characters but they'...
Not one of my favorites. The three book collection should have been only one book. They were way to short to be individual books. I also had an issue with the fact that there was very little substance in any of them. It was all about sex. Gage and Kate could never get through one conversation without ripping their clothes off. While I have no issue with erotica I do like to have a real story line to go with it. I found myself skipping over a lot just to see the ending.
I don;t understand why there has to be another book... it's so damn short., I literally finished it in less than twenty minutes.Anyways, it was a typical rock story romance except the girl dumped him in the start... didn't believe in him and now five years later, telling herself he didn't want him but she does... that was basically the first book.
This one is getting 2 stars by rounding up. It was a very quick read, but I feel like it was almost too rushed, and then ended way too quickly in order to bring in a second book. I didn't care much for parts of the dialogue, especially at times during the sex scenes. One that stands out in my mind is when Gage says, "Speak my name" while they're in the middle of having sex. I could see "say", but speak? Also, "I want to be inside you when you lift off. Let's take it to the stars together." Rocke...
The characters were shallow and undeveloped. It was disappointing and I won't continue to read the next "episode". I wouldn't even call this a short story as it seemed to jump in the middle and the only conflict was that She broke His heart and he went on to be OH-SO-RICH-AND-FAMOUS.It isn't even that she fell into his arms with such ease as I've read other books where the characters practically jump into bed after the first meeting...Yuck!
Kate and Gage used to date before he was famous...but he wasn't going anywhere so she dumped him Now she has to see him again and get an exclusive interview for the magazine she works for. Gage is shocked needless to say when he sees her but there is still a spark there and he wants her.
I would usually be annoyed at a story ending so abrubtly - more like half a story than a whole one. However it saved me having to decide whether to carry on reading. The situation and characters are not only overly stereotyped but really shallow. Given the 'messy' break up they were supposed to have experienced (it didn't sound messy at all and there was very little indication of past passion)their electric attraction seemed frankly off key.Still it wasn't expensive and didn't take much time.
Wish I had known about the cliff hanger ending and a sequel before I read this. I would have waited for the next book/s before I read it. I did enjoy it. I think that Kate jumps to a lot of conclusions and I find her less like able than Gage.Added...So I've found the final two books...I've read the reviews for them...I'm just not sure now if I will read them or not.Sounds like more angst then I like.
This was a fairly good book but the characters could have been fleshed out a lot more. I didn't have any sense of how they would react because they both seemed a little robotic. I still enjoyed it though!
