Decent and tight group of stories, although nothing to pound the table about. Eric Beetner's story about three nursing home residents going out to score heroin was my favorite.
Thuglit: Issue 4 of the anthology magazine features eight stories from eight talented authors. Edited by Todd Robinson, aka Big Daddy Thug, these tales lean toward the noir side of things. These are stories where the reason why something happens is just as important as the act itself. Crystal went all the way up to the bedroom in the small attic looking for the guest of honor. In “Through the Perilous Night” by Anton Sim she finds him watching TV, drinking, and clearly not in the mood for compan...
Above average.
A few interesting stories and some duds. Allure furs was a favorite, it casually drags you down to the muck, and until you realize what's happening. Get out while you can. The rest of the stories were adequate in quality but were not very memorable.

These stories seemed a bit more humorous than the other editions. All are decently written and edited. Good collection of stories...
What I like best about this collection is the variety of voices and sensibilities. Thuglit 4 is short but surprisingly deep.I was familiar with the work of a couple of the contributors. Patti Abbott is a class act, and her entry here maintains her standard. Eric Beetner has a great knack for rolling nasty and funny together. I liked everything else from the authors who were new to me too, but I will give special mention to Sam Wiebe and "Gallows Point." That piece brought one of the cool old cla...
