Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was an American novelist and writer, widely known as one of the best American authors of the 20th century, whose works are paradigmatic of the era of the jazz. Fitzgerald is considered a member of the Lost Generation of the 1920s. He wrote five The Great Gatsby, Smooth is the Night, This Side of Paradise, Beautiful and Damned, and The Last Tycoon which, although unfinished, was published after his death. He also wrote multiple short stories, many of which deal with youth and promises, age and despair.
