Only read the Torgerson novella that was nominated for the Hugo, so I am not giving a star rating to the entire issue.I couldn't make it through this one. It has a couple of interesting premises, which it mostly hadn't done much with by the point where I stopped reading (about half-way through). Some interesting and entertaining stories. I liked OTHER PEOPLE'S AVATARS by Howard V. Hendrix, A QUIET LITTLE TOWN IN MINNESOTA by K.C. Ball, and CREP D'ETOILE by Bud Sparhawk.
A good double issue. I found the conclusion the Dark Secret by Edward M Lerner quite satisfactory and overall really enjoyed this serial.
