I loved this book. It was funny and also made me cry. I loved how cute and totally nerdy Saffi was and how she had such a good heart. Staffan was a definitely an ass during the parts with the fan date. Just for that I almost gave this 4 stars. Are we going to see books on Steel and Silver, Saffi's brothers? I really hope so!
4.5 Stars!A fantastic read! I was absolutely enthralled with the story from beginning to end and can't wait to start the next book! But before we get to that, let's talk about this first book, shall we?When Fangirls Lie is definitely an interesting read. It is cliche in the sense that it has an innocent, quirky heroine who captures the heart of a playboy rockstar with his own past relationship drama, but I think Marian Tee did a fantastic job making this story both entertaining and unique.First
I loved this book. I can't wait to read the second one :D
Lies, lies, lies... they always come back to bite you. I was surprised by this book. It was not at all what I expected, but in a good way. I found myself really feeling what the characters were feeling. Staffan Aehrenthal, Europe's bad boy rock star, is used to having his way. He knows what the women who stalk him want, and how to give it to them. He has a reputation of sleeping with those of his Groupies that he personally selects. But not anymore. Not since that phone call he made to his "birt...
So this was a free book and I loved it! I really love that Staffan pretty much stalks her for months on facebook, twitter, and anything else he can find her on. After calling one of his fans on their birthday, he is stunned when she doesn't play the normal game with him. Saffi is the one girl that has bought this man back to life and he can't wait to get his hands on her. He arranges for her to come to his concert and backstage where he is just waiting to be alone with her. I was a little upset
It was a fun, good read...it had me laughing aloud at Saffi's antics. Staffan was an alpha through and through with a soft side when it comes to the woman he loves. It ends in a cliffhanger - can't wait until the next book comes out.
This book had a lot more sexy hotness in it than the other books of Marian's that I've read, but I mean come on- he's Sweden's #1 Sex God. XD Kinda foreshadows the future sexy atmosphere lol.I love this! And I'm dying with regret for reading it now because the second book isn't out, yet. T_TAt first I wasn't too excited about the plot because all I knew at the time was that she was going to act like a Groupie to meet Staffan. I like sex so it wasn't that hard to endure. XD But as the story conti...
The thing I love most about Marian's writing is that ability to make you feel such extreme emotions for her characters. This is not the first book Marian has done this to me. I have read many of Marian's stories and I should be immune to her abilities but damn she's good. If you are familiar with Marian's writings you will know that she does not do happily ever after, maybe happy for now but not ever after. Plus she is fabulous about writing such love turmoil between characters that you just wan...
4.5 fangirling stars!!This book was like the retelling of every single fairy tale stories I adored as a child. And what's wonderful about fairy tales is that they make you believe in happily ever after. When Fangirls Lie is kind of like that. Sapphire "Saffi" March is a beautiful girl from a well to do family. She's a genius too. The only problem is that Saffi is very eccentric, a fish-loving eccentric genius, but socially awkward girl. And coming from a conservative family, she stands out li...
Sapphire “Saffi” March is the number 1 fan of rockstar singer Staffan Aehrenthal. For his fans, Staffan gives the occasional phone call to wish them a Happy Birthday, this time, Saffi is the lucky girl. After an amusing conversation, Staffan is intrigued by Saffi and he begins to stalk her online presence. Saffi is naïve, beautiful, intelligent, young and pretty god-damn crazy. Staffan cannot wait any longer to see her, he sends her a VIP ticket to one of his shows. On the advice of a fellow fang...
I have never read anything by this author and now that I have I feel like I have missed the best thing since sliced bread!!!!I have found another favorite author. She pulls you in and you can't wait to see what will happen next.I will be sure to have all of her books on my must read list.
Sapphire “Saffi” March was the #1 fangirl of Staffan Aehrenthal, Sweden’s #1 Rock star and Sex God. She truly “loves” him for him and not his stardom. There is just something that she sees in him that seems like no one else can see. So she is a fan but for all different reasons. She gets a birthday call from him, which is one of the perks of the fan club members, and they have a great connection on the phone. Saffi March is the daughter of a Senator and has grown up to be the embarrassment of the...
This book started with so many promises, a good little girl in love with a rockstar.I have read some books by the same author, she writes quite nicely but this book wasn't my cup of tea. A 2.5 star. Story without spoiler - So, there is this girl who is the daughter of the Senator and sister to really popular people. She is also a huge fan of a rock star, Staffan. Sapphire or Saffi wants to be a dutiful daughter, thus she goes to his show changing her entire self. She dresses in the shortest clot...
Naive-innocent-hilarious-quirky-awkward-forgiving heroine. Check! Oh and did I mention hilarious? Yep. FUCKING HILARIOUS. Selfish-arrogant-hot-swoon worthy-son-of-a-bitch hero. Check!Oh and did I mention arrogant? Yep. FUCKING ARROGANT. (But he's HOT so maybe that makes it acceptable?) I really don't know how to rate this book. I loved it. I hated it.There are times when I was so shocked I thought my eyes were gonna fall out. There are times when I laughed so hard, my shoulders were shaking unco...
Soo.. I really don't know what to say … they overall story was definitely different, BUT it was just solo extreme and TOO much. I don't know if i liked it or hated it. I can't believe someone so smart would act like that and let herself be treated so badly. In the beginning i liked staffan. but as i continued reading i really hated his character!!!!! First staffan's totally obsessed with her and when he finally meets her, he doesnt admit knowing who she is. So decides to treat her like shit and
I reviewed this book at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley. Shel: Let me start by saying that if you are not into the whole erotica thing, then you may not want to read this book because the sexual episodes start very early in the book and they continue, often, throughout.Shel: Sapphire March AKA Saffi is a very young postgraduate school genius (she's 19), the daughter of a senator, and promised to be engaged to someone who is guaranteed to help her father's political career. By all appea...
*3,5/5*Where to start, where to start,...I suggest you first read the How Not to be Seduced by Billionaires series if you want to, it's not necessary but if you're planning to read it, read it before this book. Moving on.I literally laughed my ass off most of the time while reading this book. When fangirls lie is filled with awkward and uncomfortable situations. You know, sometimes I felt like I was experiencing the embarassing situations Saffi got herself into which resulted into me having to s...
Why am I not able to DNF it? 🙄
I have never read a Marian Tee novel before now and I must say I am not disappointed. This book has me hooked and I looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series ties in. Now I haven't read the series to which these are a spin off to but that doesn't mean that I won't look for them later on in the future. I like Saffi March. There are two sides of her- one side is naive and intelligent and the other side sexy, feisty, and hilarious. Saffi's life is changed one night when Staffan, a Sex Go...
This was a quick and fun read with lots of sexy times. I didn't think I would enjoy this book so much. What sold me this book were the characters, particularly Saffi. Although innocent and naive, she is feisty, smart, fearless, and hilarious! I laughed so hard at some of the predicaments she got herself into. There are still a lot of unanswered questions in this book, which I hope the sequel(s) will provide. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
