Parenting Your Kid: Ideas and concepts that will show you how to help your child have a more happy and fulfilling life

Parenting Your Kid: Ideas and concepts that will show you how to help your child have a more happy and fulfilling life

James H. Stone

Chapter 1, 4 Things Every Kid Needs, talks about ways to help parents establish a firm foundation for their children. This includes letting them know they are valued and thus have self worth, that they are capable of becoming competent at doing things and understanding their world, as well as the importance of helping others. Chapter 2, They Tend To Become A Lot Like You, talks about the need for we, the parents, to display those traits and characteristics that we want our children to have. Included at the end of each chapter is a question and answer section that will help you and your child better understand where you are now and what direction you want to go in. I have worked with children and families as a licensed therapist for over 25 years and have found that most children who are having significant troubles in life are often lacking the experiences that are described in this book. The information presented is straight forward, easy to understand and is written for real people, living real lives, which includes all the good and all the bad. It is hoped by reading the material and using the worksheets, you will come away with an understanding that you, the parent, have much more power and ability than maybe you had realized, when it comes to Parenting Your Kid.
