Read from the 1st January to the 5th January. Wasn't too keen on this book and did end up rushing through it towards the end as I really wasn't able to get into it. After talking to some friends who have also read the book with similar expectations of what it would be like, it seems like this is a common issue.
A Shelley skończyła 19 lat kiedy zaczęła ją pisać.
I found this book quite boring. I didn’t get the horror aspect out of it. If the monster was not described as such, I would have thought he was just another human man. The writing was good, despite being “old-fashioned”. I think there were good parts and bad parts in this book.

A classic that I did not have to read. I decided to read it. What a difference. I'm not sure if it is because I just lived through 2019-2022, but I really felt for the creature. Was the creature wrong in what he did? that is the question you will have to answer for yourself after reading the book. Victor Frankenstein was wrong in what he did. I don't think that is a question at all. I'm sure that there are people out there that think he was not. I don't get it, but everyone is entitled to their
4.5, bo zabrakło mi trochę fabuły
Cudowna!

Read along with my AP lit student child, because it was an assigned novel when I took freshman lit at PSU, and it seemed timely to revisit. I still don’t like horror as a genre, but the book is sadder and more poignant than I remember. It seems being a parent has certainly colored my perspective on “creator”. While sad of course I found the ending to be perhaps the best part.
Smutek, smutek i ponownie smutek… to czuje każdy, kto czyta tą powieść. A potwór?
Frankenstein is without a shadow of a doubt a masterpiece. Is one of the few literature books that I consider to be perfect! It’s well written, the whole story from beginning to the end is gripping. It is definitely a page turner! Besides the story itself, it is that kind of book that leaves you with some kind of aftertaste, wondering about a thousand things specially moral standards. I simply loved it!
i’m so in love with this book. i think about it all the time
A tale of two very wretched lives.
I vaguely remember watching the black and white version of this movie as a kid and remembered that the monster was a big, ugly, dumb creature that was misunderstood, feared and treated badly because he was scary looking. But this book gives a whole different perspective. The monster was an intelligent, ruthless killer who let jealousy control his rage. And Frankenstein was the monster who abandoned his creation.
