Utterly fascinating and educational in a quick-paced, easy-to-follow format. Highly recommended reading.

Kinds of questions posed: One if by land and two if by sea? How could the Redcoats come by land when there’s no land between England and America? Were there really witches in Salem? What does “tyranny” mean? What’s a “legislature”? What does “separation of church and state” mean? What does “amnesty” mean?

Topics include: Discovery of America, the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, the Constitution, the Launching of the Nation, the Age of Jefferson, the War of 1812, the Age of Jackson.
