Very boring. I do not like books that have no meaning to the children, other than promoting a character.
This is only 4 stars given the fact its the Care Bears. The stories from the new generation are a but pathetic compared to the original 80s lot. Still, its Care Bears...
We love dollar finds of good book series the kid's are into at the time. This was another one. Grumpy keeps finding things that maybe aren't so happy. Good Luck keeps helping him find the silver lining to every "cloud." A good reminder to try and stay positive even when it might not be the easiest thing to do.
The early 2000 Care Bear books for children, such as this one, are simpler in language, characterization and plot when compared to the original Care Bear books published in the year 1983. I understand the value in simplifying language so that children can better understand what they are reading, however "Lucky Day" has far less descriptive words than my 1983 book, "The Care Bears' Garden". Adjectives are crucial for characterization and setting, even in picture books. Please don't dumb down book...
