The object of the Author of " Pet Rabbits, Cavies,
and Mice" has been to provide in simple, handy form
a Complete Manual for the tyro who is contemplating
" taking up" the keeping of any of these furry
favourites as a hobby. The various diseases to which
they are subject are more or less fully dealt with, and
the aspect of profit in their cultivation is not lost
sight of. The Exhibition side of the hobby is also
touched on, and amateur fur fanciers will read with
pleasure and profit to themselves Mr. Gardner's
lucid and practical observations based on a life-time's
active association with the various hobbies as Judge,
Expert, and Fancy Journalist.
