Volume 4 of the MIKE Sports Comic Book Series focuses on my all-time FIFA Favorites.
My soccer selections include five former players, four current stars and probably the most passionately debated play in the history of the World Cup.
All ten selections positively impacted international football. Even the diminutive, chubby Argentine striker responsible for the most famous botched call of World Cup play gets a spot in FIFA Favorites.
You’ll enjoy reading about a dwarf-sized defender from Germany with magical soccer skills and an electrifying scorer from Portugal with magical soccer feet.
You’ll reminisce about the Kaiser’s strong leadership as a player and coach. Plus, you’ll be dazzled by a Brazilian whose brilliant ball handling abilities brought immense joy to his fellow countrymen.
You’ll admire the frightening pace and skill of a Frenchman with noticeable facial scars.
You’ll recall the technically precise passing and goal scoring talent of a Montenegran with a professorial nickname.
And, you’ll be entertained by the stalwart strength and skill of a wall-like Italian defender.
In addition, you’ll read about the unusual height of a British striker and marvel at the amazing athleticism and goal scoring instincts of a natty named Argentine soccer icon.
All are worthy of being recognized by their unique nicknames.
In this book, each of my selections includes its own sports comic. The comics cleverly capture the nicknames of the spotlighted players as well as the contested goal.
In addition to the comics, I include a bit of history in each chapter about my selection to explain why I believe it deserves a place in FIFA Favorites.
