Here at Bible Translation Magazine we are hard at work for all individuals interested in the Bible translation process, from the person who has just purchased his first Bible, to the professional translator. The main purpose of the Bible-Translation.Net magazine is education. It is a place for those who are sincerely interested in the importance of the translation process, as well as which translation would be the most beneficial to use. The translation of God's Word from the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek is a task unlike any other and should never be taken lightly, because it carries with it the heaviest responsibility: the translator renders God's thoughts into a modern language.
Therefore, the goal of BTNM is to be a help to all. There have been technical journals and magazines on the market for decades. Generally, scholars have published these journals for others scholars. Therefore, we are taking difficult and complex subjects and making them easy to understand. We wanted to create a magazine that would communicate as clearly and powerfully as possible to all of today’s readers. The resulting effort is a magazine that is easy to read and understand, while also accurately communicating information about the Bible. In fact, children will be able to read our magazine and understand it. This is not to say that it is for children as such, it is for both adult and young ones. In addition, our magazine will be beneficial for those who struggle to understand when they read. We hope this magazine will be just right for you. As each succeeding issue of our magazine comes out, it will be more reflective of the above goals.

It is a daunting task for the new Bible student to walk into a store looking to purchase a Bible. Immediately, he is met with shelves upon shelves of more than 100 different English translation choices: NIV, TNIV, ESV, NASB, NRSV, CEV, HCSB, NLT, TEV, NET and on and on. He is even further bewildered when he realizes that there are different formats within each translation: a reference Bible, a study Bible, a life application Bible, an archaeology Bible, as well as many more, or just the standard format. He further notices that some translations claim to be Essentially Literal, while others claim to be Dynamic Equivalent , which has only served to increased his confusion.
