Barnyard Big Top

Barnyard Big Top

Jill Kastner
2.4/5 ( ratings)
Ben and his best friend Clarence are resting on the front porch when who should arrive but Uncle Julius and his Two-Ring Extravaganza! Uncle Julius asks Ben to keep an eye on things while he gets some rest and relaxation. "No problem!" says Ben. Soon he's busy grooming the lions and feeding the tigers, while Clarence practices his flying leaps and triple somersaults. After the show, Uncle Julius sets up the Big Top at last and all the neighbors come to see Clarence perform on the flying trapeze, while Ben's aunts Gerty and Ginnie steal the show with their Daring and Death-Defying Mororcycle Feats. Soon Uncle Julius packs up the circus and goes back on the road, with a new star to add to his act .Bright, bold, hilarious illustrations of flying pigs and acrobatic cows combine with the straight-faced text to make this very funny story a celebration of the circus, and of an ordinary town that turns out to be not so ordinary after all.
