Let's Talk

Let's Talk

Mary Kohnke
0/5 ( ratings)
Not long after my German shepherd died, I was sitting at my window thinking about getting another shepherd.
In my mind I was walking through the dog pound with an attendant. We stopped at a cage. I looked at this beautiful shepherd and said, “Oh, she’s a pretty girl.”
I heard “I am pretty, aren’t I?”
Surprised, I looked around thinking it was the attendant, but she had walked away. I thought, I’m losing it.
“You’re not losing it. I said, I am pretty.”
The female shepherd was speaking to me telepathically. Her brother was also there and he too could also talk with me. I took them both home, and so start the stories of Duchess and Duke.
We later acquired a Desert Lynx cat, while we were at another pound getting a kitten for Duke. Turned out the Lynx cat, named Tiger, could talk and he was scheduled to be put to sleep. Duchess said we should adopt him–or in her words, “Can’t let them kill a cat that can talk.”
Each day is new and filled with adventures for Duchess, Duke, Tiger, Kitty and their friend Georgia. They asked me to invite you, the reader, to come along.
