A marked improvement over the previous volume. As the title would seem to indicate, the Guardians have been disassembled and captured by various baddies, all orchestrated of course by Star Lord's dick of a father. A few parts were good, but main storyline was a boring mess and artworks just not as good as previous volumes ones.Inter-characters dynamics were the best part of this series, so really a not good idea make Angela disappear (luckly her and Gamora are reunited again in the end) to add Agent Venom and Cap. Marvel to do essentially nothing but for getting lost in space and a crappy deus ex machina rescue...Such a shame because I was loving a lot this run.

It's not that this book is terrible, but there's certainly little good about it. Nick Bradshaw's art is generally great. That's about it. Lots of heavy-handed exposition, lots of repeated character beats from earlier in the series, throw in an ableist joke and some pointless wheel-spinning and you've got a volume.

The team are separated and captured! But then (spoiler!) they escape and re-unite. And that's about it. Still firmly and frustratingly inferior to the film, the Abnett/Lanning comics which inspired it, and Bendis' own best work.

The Guardians of the Galaxy continues to flourish under Bendis' trademark dry wit style. While the artwork wasn't as good in some other GOG titles, it's ok. As far as the story? Good main story with alot of filler and the unnecessary addition of Venom (really why?). It's like Marvel doesn't believe the guardians can just carry the series. Sure they are the most entertaining team Marvel has but they just don't get a chance to consistently shine.

This was pretty disappointing. I really liked the start of this series, but the excitement died down pretty quickly.
