has developed this practical test standard book to be used
by examiners when conducting airline transport pilot and aircraft type
rating practical tests in
helicopters. Instructors are expected to use this book when preparing
applicants for practical tests. Applicants should refer to these standards
during their training.

test standard in terms such as “shall” and “must” indicating the actions
are mandatory. Guidance information is described in terms such as
