As far back as I can remember, a spirit traveled with me that shrouded hatred and torment; no, not from me but literally so many others. My emotional suitcase was packed only with a will to exist and the desire to be loved while remembering what mama taught me about God. Questioning, why would a little girl playing in the streets of Milwaukee become everyone's target to bully, misuse and abuse as though I wore a sign on my back that read, "always treat 'Munchie' badly whether you are friend, family or foe." Knowing God was always there, why did He allow them to manipulate my innocence and degrade my worth? City after city, state after state, the storms of this inhumane treatment would follow me over forty years. My only reasons for not trying to end it all was my love for God and the unconditional love for my children. Pack your bags and travel with me as I embark on, "THE CITIES OF MY STORMS."
