A Pocket Full Of Hope

A Pocket Full Of Hope

Y. Woosey
0/5 ( ratings)
Shala Greene was born on Sunday the Sixth October 1963.
She believed her Grandad Georgie when he told her that she entered into this world with two things. A lungful of air which was needed to take her first breath and secondly she had a pocket full of hope to get her through life's hurdles.
However there was another family story about her birth. One that predicted her future. Shala was born with hauntingly sad grey eyes. Were her eyes a stepping stone to her tortured soul? Would everyone who viewed them consider her life to be hauntingly sad and grey also? Would her eyes ever carry any hope?
Shala clung to her grandad's story. But what if the hope in her pocket wouldn't last throughout her lifetime? What if life's hurdles were just too precarious to survive? What if there was a hole in her pocket? And her hope slipped away through the fingers of time? What would Shala cling onto to become a survivor once all hope had gone?
Shala is about to relive her entire life story as it eclipses her last breaths. Would she follow her guardian angel? Or would she live to survive another day?
