Suddenly Tom burst through the door, nearly knocking the old stone portal from its hinges. His eyes were wide and wild and held the still smoking .38 in his meaty fist. There was blood on his shirt. He came out the doorway at a full run, I tried to stop him, to find out what was going on, but he bowled me over and kept running off into the night. That was the last time I ever saw Tom Barnes. That was also the last time I set foot in a cemetery, in thirty years I have not been back to one. After that I drifted for years, taking whatever dead end jobs I could get. Until eventually I got into real estate, and a decade of hard work made me the man I am today. But always the nightmares return. As I said before, it is time for me to tell my story; this secret is too much for me to bear alone any longer. It needs to be told what sent me screaming from the cemetery. For thirty years I have resisted telling another soul about that night, but now having gone this far it needs to be finished..........
