David Rabinowitch

David Rabinowitch

David Carrier
3/5 ( ratings)
Published on the occasion of the first major solo exhibition in Canada for the New York-based Canadian sculptor, this elegant publication highlights the developments of a sculptural and graphic practice drawn from the confluences of science, literature and philosophy. David Rabinowitch first came to prominence in the 1960′s in London. Since that time he has developed a singular body of work that plays on the apparently contrasting fields of gravity and perspective. Rabinowitch has exhibited worldwide and has been the subject of numerous publications from European art publishers such as Richter Verlag and Cantz. This is the first Canadian book dedicated to this Canadian artist of international stature. The event is reflected in the publication: richly illustrated and in English only, a rarity for the National Gallery of Canada.
