A wonderful, fast-paced follow-up to Triptych. Will Trent for president!Another too notch thriller by Karen Slaughter, Fractured is the second in the Will Trent series and a reread for me. I wanted to go back and read all the Grant County series and then do the Will Trent series in order, because I read that Will and Sara Linton meet and with together in the third book. As usual, Slaughter delivers an interesting mystery with complex characters (some were in the previous book of the series, some are new). The start was really strong! If the story was as good as the first chapters, it could deserve more stars, but I just didn't find myself as enthralled as with the Grant County series or Triptych. Really enjoyed this and would recommend, but I felt that it wasn’t written in the usual Karin Slaughter gruesome style! Although there were gory bits it wasn’t as in your face as normal!I haven’t read these in order and jumping now from book 2 to book 9 and it hasn’t made any difference in the sense that there wasn’t a lot of underlying stories that I couldn’t get in to jumping straight to book x
