Aunts Aren't Spacemen (The Darlington Winslow Series)

Aunts Aren't Spacemen (The Darlington Winslow Series)

Mark Brady
3/5 ( ratings)
Welcome to the future. You are invited to visit a world where P.G. Wodehouse meets Neal Stephenson with a little Terry Pratchett thrown in. Join S. Darlington Winslow as he attends the annual L-5 Space Regatta to do the right thing for his friends and family.

His future has personal spaceships, anti-gravity devices, custom matter creation, life extension, nano driven weight loss, perfectly tailored suits, space yachting and lots more. There hasn’t been a major war in over one hundred years. The United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are once again united in a new Empire proving that Benedict Arnold was right. But Darl is not living in a paradise. There are plenty of snakes in the proverbial grass waiting to strike. The government tracks its citizens everywhere they go and for every transaction they make. Everyone can be reached at any time. Corporations and their advertising are ubiquitous. Software is still glitchy. But these dystopian elements are minor compared to Darl’s real problems: his dealings with his mother , her sisters and a few of his ex-girlfriends who can read his mind. His family makes Darl grateful that Aunts Aren’t Spacemen.
