If you ever lost someone to cancer, then you know how important it is that they are not forgotten. Therefore, I wrote this book as a tribute to my husband Al because I wanted others to have the chance to read about my family's journey, during this difficult time in our lives. In a bigger sense, it's a tribute to all the heroes who have battled cancer and lost, those who continue the struggle, and the ones who will face a similar diagnoses in the future. This book also helps others to remember how their love one gave them joy, laughter, love and the strength to go on. So their love ones lead the way for others to have hope for the future and all of them are our Silent Heroes!
