Fantasy and Sci-fi anthologies are keeping short stories alive and well. Independent presses are too. In the US Subterranean Press and Small Beer Press are producing some wonders, and in Australia, it's Ticonderoga Publications and Twelfth Planet Press that's at the forefront. I'm beginning to recognise a few of these writers now through reading other works by Twelfth Planet and Ticonderoga. This is another rainbow-like anthology: some serious, some dramatic, some comical, some poetic - the list...
Look TBH the cover had me running in the wrong direction...But then I got reading. These aren't all romantic, but a variety, some are even quite dark. And the huge plus is that it has lead me to read more about steampunk and look up some local Aussie steampunk novelists. And that can't be a bad thing.
Of course I loved it -- I edited it!

Another lovely anthology from Ticonderoga! Maybe not quite as engaging as its predecessor, More Scary Kisses (one of my favourite anthos ever!), but a good read nonethless.
