Developed nearly fifty years ago, Weight Watchers is a diet program designed to help dieters learn tips and information about nutrition and fitness in order to successfully achieve weight loss goals. To help support dieters, Weight Watchers focuses on the emotional, mental, and physical issues of a healthy lifestyle.
The program works by teaching dieters about a system of points, where each food option corresponds to a specific point value. Weight Watchers new program is called, PointsPlus. This plan takes into account a food’s protein, carb, fat, and fiber and assigns the food a PointsPlus value. Each member will be given a personalized points number. Every time a member eats, that member subtracts the PointsPlus value from their personalized point’s number.
The personalized number is derived from the member’s height and weight. For example, if a member’s personalized number is 20, and then she ate a 3 point muffin, her total available points left for the day would be 17 points. Food items with high sugar and fat content have higher PointsPlus values. Healthy foods have low values.
In the Book " Weight Watchers Clan Series : Delicious 2 Points Plus Recipes" you will find more than 100 mouth watering recipes that have 2 Points Plus value. Main Nutrient information is also attached with each recipe.
