I originally read this some years ago, I felt Dan Millman did a pristine job with exuding the emotion in the book as most individuals have felt that tug of pull asking you in such a way 'what am I here for and what am I doing with my life' I read this book at a time when clarity was something I sought after and so maybe this is why I felt it resonating with me and why I loved it so. I revisited it recently and still have those same feelings. Regardless of what the critics say I loved this book.
the first book that i read which gave me some insight on what energy is, how it affects us, etc.i still advise it to everybody who is unknowing of what spirituality is but wants to know more about it.i must say that i do not like his other books. only this one. storywise it is no great literature, but if you can read through this, there is a lot to make you think and look deeper
I am suspicious to tell you of this collection. What is peaceful warrior? It is, for me, a masterpiece. I am not kidding, it has changed my way to seeing life, how I would behaviour in front of embarrassing situations, how I handle my issues, I made me think much more about what I want to me. So, just read it up, it will, absolutely, worthwhile.
Loved the book
Honestly It took me a bit longer than I thought to finished this book. My comment here won't be different from other. this book have given me lot of new ideas and opened my mind to see thing differently(each reader have to discover by themselves) I am not a native English speaker but this book are very easy and understandable, it took me about 1 month and half to finish as I took it very slow. the book itself are pretty heavy lol and for me I think there is another state of mind that not everyon...
Wow! I really liked this book. Very intriguing and inspiring. I read it during lunch and then would think about it the rest of the day.A few days I was tempted to go hide a read a few more pages. I'll be checking out the rest of his books.Told my brother to check it out, I may just send him the book to read.
There are times when the book is still better than the movies and times here and there when the movie is actually better. After reading this one, or starting to, I just felt a grander need to experience the cinematic version.
Read when I was younger and had no idea what impact it had on me. When I read this again I found that I had been telling stories from this book for years. The second time through the message really hit home.
Understanding is the one-dimensional comprehension of the intellect. It leads to knowledge. Realization is three-dimensional – a simultaneous comprehension of head, heart, and instinct. It comes only from direct experience.Use whatever knowledge you have but see its limitations. Knowledge alone does not suffice; it has not heart. No amount of knowledge will nourish or sustain your spirit; it can never bring you ultimate happiness or peace. Life requires more than knowledge; it requires intense f...
I liked this book. It basically had the same message as Echart Tolle's 'A New Earth' on in a novel form. Both books shared two of the same stories of wisdom. There was plenty of humor that kept me laughing out loud throughout the book. I would recommend it. I also might have given it another star if I didn't already know the importance of being Present.
Truthfully, I read this book because a guy I liked told it was incredible. I started reading it on a Winter Vacation and was totally swept away by it. It is truly a life changing book. It is a very interesting book, and a fun story! Definitely recommend it to everyone!
This book is great. I was reading this when my flight got diverted due to pilot selfishness, and I was the only calm person. I thought these angry NYers were going to lynch those guys. It puts one in a real zen frame of mind. It also makes you want to hike in Molokai.
Moving. I see myself in the story, the tragedy, the Socrates and the elusive lover. Transcendence. Dredging our powers, when we lose it all. http://www.vudu.com/movies/#
If I wasn't a trusting person, I'd say this book is a low-quality ripoff of Carlos Castaneda.
Fabulous book! Gives you great insight into life and how amazing each one of us are!
very inspiring and captivating
Love,love,love this book.
The novel version of a Self Help for Life
I received this book from my boss. The only thing I could say is that you need to develop all the three areas: body, mind, spirit. You can't neglect any of this three.
To hell with the critics. Dan Millman's whole body approach works for me.
Entertaining while educational and thought provoking.
Millner really does a wonderful job at clearly showing how one can achieve the higher self.
