My wife taught me how to love. Or rather, she is in the process of teaching me how to love. I have met many people who love well, though none, I think, as well as my wife. But what truly impacts the lives of those around Chelsie is that she has beautiful words, powerful, truth-telling, heart-piercing, laugh-loving words. It is a gift from the Lord, and as long as I have known her, she has given this gift to Him, to me, and to all those around her.

Chelsie has volumes inside her. She will, I’m sure, be published many times over in her lifetime. But what I share here are things she has already written over the years – personal things addressed to me, to friends, to God, and to herself. I have removed some of the personal references, so that the truth of her words can be applied to anyone. It is my prayer that this little book will help you learn, as she is helping me learn, how to love – your husband or wife, your family, and your Lord.

If you have yet to find your heart’s true love, it is our hope that you will find total satisfaction in the presence of Jesus, who is all anybody really needs. May this book bring you joy in knowing that he is the creator of love and its greatest fulfillment. With him, you need no one else.

In the creating of this book, reading once again the beautiful words that God has given Chelsie, I have fallen in love with her all over again. I am crazy about her. For you, too, may the words of my wife awaken your heart as you are waiting for love, stumbling into love, and living in love. May you find direction in her seeking, solace in her pain, joy in her fulfillment, and life in her laughter.
