FunNice clear instructions and a nice project to boot . Showers how to make your own links. Which can save you some money
The photos did not show up.The author went into too much detail about making jump rings. Also the illustrative photos that he referred to in the making chainmaille did not show up. Disappointing.
I enjoy working and creating with my hands. I think that is why I enjoy doing origami so much. The problem is that I end up with a bunch of paper projects that clutter up my house. This might be a good solution as the end product is somewhat useful. Now I just need to find the time and money to give it a try.

This is the second book of Baker's that I have read on chain maille. I am once again pleased. It is simple and direct. Good illustrations are always a help in any how to book. It is a good book for someone who wants to learn a very basic chain maille weave but has 0 experience. Nice for beginners but...So I decided to get this book just to see how Mr. Baker does his "beginners" guide. Honesty, I just skimmed through the book due to having 15 years of experience in making chainmail. This book IS good for those just starting out, but i probably would have told the readers how to make the rings instead of adding in the tie bit about buying the rings mid section. Great instructionsThe instructions are simple and clear, the visual aids even more so. I am thinking of trying this technique with my metalworking students. I am sure they'd enjoy it.

Chain mail .Interesting basic book, on chain mail. Purchased it, to have handy, when starting on mail. Useful for basic 4 in 1 weave, but will need to get next book for anything more complex. Useful information, for anyone wishing to make their own or adjust existing shirts, etc.
This is a well written book with easy step by step directions and great close up pictures. I can't wait to see if he writes one for making armor.
