This book is written for young and old to enjoy. Read about how Dorothy started her life with her family, how she ended up miles away - lost in the wilderness, and her perilous journey home. This story is based on the true story of Dorothy, an extraordinary Canada Goose, who is an extra special member of our family. Dorothy knew that following the flock wasn’t right for her and journeyed home alone to where she knew in her heart she belonged. Dorothy’s story is one of courage, loyalty, devotion, determination, and of finding ones’ true self and purpose. Dorothy is extremely unique and clearly has a special purpose. Her story continues, and she has many things to teach us.
The majority of the events in this story are completely factual, with exception to the events that occurred during the time that Dorothy was on her own in the wild with the flock and during her journey home. Not being there to witness her time away and her journey home, we had to speculate on what she encountered and how her journey went. However, based on all evidences, we think this is quite accurate.
