Robert Woolfolk was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1923. His focus during his early years there was on sports, an interest he maintained throughout his life. He entered Tulane University after high school but upon the United States’ entry into World War II, he combined his studies in Chemical Engineering with preparation for entering the Navy. After Midshipman’s School at Columbia, he was sent to the South Pacific theater. After the war, Bob worked for a number of major companies, then founded National Healthcare Alliance. Upon retirement, Woolfolk began a new life as a writer. He lives in Houston with his wife and daughter.
