Along with a great cover, we get a great issue this month. Only two stories were below par: "Whey Station" (but then, I don't think I understood that one) and "Dancing In the Dark". "Dancing In the Dark" was necessarily bad. It's just the other stories outshone it that much. It's an enjoyable, interesting story, but I just liked the other tales better. Still, this is a good, solid issue.
A good issue where the two novelettes had a more serious tone relative to several of the short stories which were light-hearted or comedic. Both novelettes were entertaining and well written, with "Dancing in the Dark" having a bit more complexity/depth. Of the lighter short stories Castro's and "Transfer Point" were wonderful and clever. Schmidt's non-fiction article seemed rather basic in terms of its topic on ways that authors can avoid info-dumps. I found it only notable in illustrating how
