BAD BABY

I will kick you in the eyes and laugh.
There’s no greater comedy than a broken nose.
I will dance on your hospital bed
and order pizza when nobody’s home.

I will unravel every sweater,
put wet paint in every shoe.
How could it possibly be me?
Babies can’t talk. Babies can’t order pizza.

I will light fires in the garden.
Fuck plants. Long live babies.
Who’s lucky now, lucky bamboo?
Bow to your queen.

That’s not a rattle. It’s my scepter.
You will obey me or else
I will make a noise
you will never forget.
