‘SisterSafety’ was introduced by Paula King-Harper in 2001 at the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas annual gathering during the greeting to the Junior Women of Texas. The name stuck for the presentation rendered by ‘SisterSafety’ was not soon forgotten as she offered spiritual safety instructions for convention attendees.
Paula now holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University and is presently studying for a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Paula serves as a volunteer Minister at Dodd Field Chapel, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Care, compassion and a generous heart are her mark and she is married to JeRome ‘Zoom’ Harper. Together, they minister to the body of Christ in the congregation, nursing homes, the incarcerated and the community through song, music, mentoring, counseling and sharing the Word of God.
“Above all else share the love of Christ and live according to His plan for your life. ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus and to take Him at His Word. Just to rest upon His promise; And to know ‘Thus says the Lord.’ Jesus, Jesus how I trust him, how I prove him over and over. Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus, oh for grace to trust him more.”
