The Blood Amulet: (Book 1)

The Blood Amulet: (Book 1)

Rhys Clatworthy
0/5 ( ratings)
Excerpt:
Kendra slowed her pace. Just ahead she spotted a large blue glow, similar to the ley line, directly in its path. The ground had opened out into a large glade. A solitary tree stood directly in the centre, its bark gnarled, its trunk knotted and twisted. Beneath the ground great roots were the source of the glow. They stretched out like dozens of glimmering crooked fingers almost reaching the edges of the glade. The energy flowed from the ley line and into its root system as if feeding the tree with a spiritual electric charge. The fairies chattered in delight and made a frenzied beeline for the tree and landed, almost splattered, on its trunk, spreading their tiny arms wide, trying to hug as much of its bark as they could manage.
Kendra turned to Jax. ‘You weren’t kidding. I think I know an ancient tree when I see one.’

For seven years Kendra Grayson has longed to know the truth behind her mother's sudden disappearance.
The last known photograph of her holds the key to the mystery.
At last, a clue that young Kendra peruses and leads her on a journey into a strange and magical world.
