OF
A THOUSAND SLEEPS

A Thousand Sleeps tells of a journey that began in 1917 when Ben Walkman left his town and his friends to escape an impossible marriage. It is a journey that he had to make alone and one that would test those left behind who believed in a story told them by the town oddity, Miss Perkins. In their old age Tom and Albert continue to hold out hope of their friend Ben’s return but they would soon have to separate as it would become too dangerous for them to be together.
Judge Roy Appleton was powerful and ruthless. He would stop at nothing to get back a lost deed that he believed was rightfully his. It took in the surrounding mountains and the valley around the town of Goose Creek. But what interested the Judge more than the scenery was a giant spring which, if controlled, would bring him untold wealth and power. He would pass this ruthlessness and hate down to his son, and he to his son.
All will be forced to look deep inside themselves for answers that will lead them on a path that is both dangerous and deadly. The die is cast the scene is set all that’s left is to survive the journey.
