Abuse of Privilege

Abuse of Privilege

John Langley
0/5 ( ratings)
A teenage American girl is kidnapped. Her powerful and distraught parents are determined to get her back – at any price.

During the negotiations with the girl’s captors issues arise that cannot be explained but don’t seem to matter. Too slow for the parents, too quick for the authorities a ransom and transfer agreement is struck.

All that remains is to find a suitable go-between – and to find him quickly.

“ ….. just collect the girl and bring her home; it’s that easy.”

What could possibly go wrong?

But nothing is ever that easy; the courier must travel across three continents, from Paris to Peru, and deal with a variety of changing identities and kaleidoscopically differing perspectives.

Whilst battling some rather annoying inner demons of his own he must consider which steps to take, which choices to make and accept the consequences.

This is the world of manipulation, of powerful women and of the double-bluff; a world in which the difference between truth and fiction, and understanding when that difference really matters, is never straightforward.

At the end of the day there was a job to do and he was the one who had been told to do it.
