Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up is a serious blast from the past. It was pretty fun being able to see cartoons from when I was a kid in comic book form coming out again. This particular episode has the Powerpuff girls, Dexter and Courage the Cowardly Dog, who was my favorite growing up. Plus, a ton more characters pop up throughout the comic and help the girls on their mission. Keep in mind when reading it does jump around a little bit with the dimensional travel, and the couple page breaks feat...
A nice little crossover of some of my favorite cartoons, Dexter and Dee Dee from Dexter's Lab, Courage the cowardly dog, Cow & Chicken (I believe) and of course the powerpuff girls. If You loved those cartoons, You should definitely check this out. It was a nice taste of nostalgia for me. I received a digital copy to review this from Netgalley.com and the publisher.
Check out more of my reviews at Boricuan Bookworms eARC Provided by Publisher via Netgalley in exchange of honest and unbiased review Reading this comic was like stepping through a world directly to my childhood. This smash-up was as unusual and exciting as that time Timmy Turner (The Fairly Odd Parents) and Jimmy Neutron (Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius) switched universes, or that time Hannah Montana and That's So Raven were in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. We have that
My childhood is all over there in these comics ! I'm so excited to read the next volume.
3.5 Stars Read all my reviews on http://urlphantomhive.booklikes.com I read another book in this series last year: Super Secret Crisis War. And since the Powerpuff Girls always were my favourite Cartoon Network series, I was glad to see they made a sequel.I enjoyed this story even more (I always like the nostalgic feeling I get from reading it, it's a trip down memory lane for me) but the story in this one was more coherent and there was a better explanation for there being different universes w...
Remember my Super Secret Crisis War review? Well I liked that one so obviously I knew I HAD to read Super Smash-Up when it popped up in my NetGalley Graphic Novels list.In Super Secret Crisis War, Aku (the demon in Samurai Jack) created the League of Extraordinary Villains, joined by Mandark, Mojo-Jojo and the bad guy from Ben 10. Their plan is to rule the worlds where the characters from Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack and Ed, Edd & Eddy live in - or destroy them if t...
I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up. The story follows the Powerpuff Girls and Professor Utonium who take a tour of Dexter's Laboratory. Of course Dexter's sister DeeDee is always lurking around nearby to accidentally cause trouble. DeeDee ends up on a multi-dimensional adventure taking her to other Cartoon Network shows and it's up to the Powerpuff Girls and Dexter to track her down and bring her back. Most of the sh...
My two sons grew up watching The Power Puff Girls, Dexter's Lab and Courage the Cowardly Dog. When my youngest son had to write a report in first grade about what he'd like to do to help the world, he said, "I'd like to be a super hero, so I can save the world." These cartoons were always fun to watch; the bad guys would never win. I loved that they came out with a book including so many of these shows, and they read like the show. Not one detail that I can think of is missing in the translation...
I got this graphic novel from netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. You can find my full review at http://devilishkisses.tumblr.com
Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up! is a graphic novel that is sure to transfer you back in time. I was so happy to find out that it includes so many characters from many of the most beloved Cartoon Network series, like Dexter, Courage, and Cow and Chicken. Between the main story there were a few short stories with Courage the Cowardly Dog, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, a well as a very special Mojo Jojo story and one with Dexter and Dee Dee. Finally,
A good follow up of the previous crossover however it still suffers from the previous series faults which is that it just happens to fast. Honestly I wished the series was just a little longer. Some of the interactions are pretty funny like Bubbles and Courage. Also seeing the girls in Fosters was fun but just needed to be longer.
Incredibly ambitious crossover?Avengers Endwhat?Kingdom Huh?Nay my friends, prepare yourself for some cable channel by Time-Warner goodness!
'Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up' is a Cartoon Network crossover graphic novel featuring the Powerpuff Girls front and center and characters from Dexter's Laboratory, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. When the Powerpuff Girls get to visit Dexter's Laboratory and learn about his work in multiple universes, things go awry when his sister Dee Dee accidentally triggers the invention and disappears into a multiple world. This sends the Powerpuff Girls
I really liked how they incorporated multiple 90’s Cartoon Network characters into the same plot; a very cool, nostalgic read and lots of fun!
Received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. This was a great and fun book, and it is kind of a sequel to the Super Secret Crisis War. You can read them separately, but you might be confused as to how the girls know Dexter, and what happened that he granted them a tour through his laboratory (something he doesn't do for just everyone). Most of the book took place in Townsville, but you can also find the girls on their quest to find DeeDee in the Cow & Chicken world, Foster's
Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up(I got this from NetGalley for an honest review)I love the Powerpuff Girls! This book isn’t just about the Powerpuff it’s them and other Cartoon Netword shows. This story starts with the Powerpuff Girls, they go to Dexter’s Laboratory and then into more shows that follow a plot. So shows has theirs plot but most of them are all looped together to make one plot. The main plot of the story it quite simple it’s the Powerpuff Girls are helping Dexter find Dee Dee. The
What a fun adventure of the powerpuff girls! Different universes combine to make an exciting adventure that will keep, you hoping there is more on the way. Expect characters from Dexter's Lab, Bill and Mandy, Cow and Chicken, and Courage, the cowardly dog ( my personal fav). In between the parts of the main story there are little stories featuring the other universes. This title is still good even if you aren't familiar with these characters, but it may get you excited to look for more from them!...
Throwback to non-sensical childhood cartoon fun! Powerpuff girls, Dexter, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Cow&Chicken, brings back cartoon network days in a nifty volume. :)Note: This E-Book is free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I read this for Net Galley. I loved it. It combines some of my favourite childhood shows into one funny and interesting comic. It's amazing.
