The story takes the reader from lab work, industrial espionage, bioethical violations and kidnapping in Fort Collins Colorado, to run-ins with armed poachers and the Lords’ Resistance Army in Africa. There's an anti-social bullfrog, a super-intelligent mouse, a kid with Progeria, plenty of music and a punk band too.

Brilliant Disguise is the first book in the Defenders Of Gaia series and is followed by Distant Sun.
