A DOG’S LIFE

A DOG’S LIFE

ANN-MARIE WADE
0/5 ( ratings)
Who said dogs are stupid and don't have feelings? They obviously haven't met Fella the most intelligent and sensitive black Labrador in the world!

Fella arrives in the world in Braintree Essex, nothing more than a bundle of black fur with a pea head at one end and a stubby tail at the other and rolls and rolls of pink belly flesh in between. From the outset of this memoir, we follow Fella as he says goodbye to his Birth Mother and siblings and is whisked away on his first adventure.
By a stroke of luck he ends up in Royal Tunbridge Wells which is rather more in keeping with his aristocratic tendencies. Life, as it is lived with his People, is seen through his eyes, ears, nose and paws. At first, he has to make the canine leap from living with his enormous Chocolate Labrador mother to living with his adoptive family, learning to get to know them and love them one by one.

Apart from his complete fixation with food he is most devoted to She Who Must Be Obeyed who he quickly learns to adore more than anyone else in the world. His days and nights gradually take on a routine shaped by the Humans and as his small brain begins to catch up with his body, he begins to gain a better understanding of his world and the different creatures in it: Animal and Human.

We follow him from one hilarious adventure to another as he reflects on life and gives us a series of witty critiques on us humans.

This book is an absolute must read for all who have ever had the pleasure of having a dog companion. Once you read about Fella you will never forget him!
