What Everybody Ought To Know About God's Grace

What Everybody Ought To Know About God's Grace

Introduction

After fifty plus years of living under the law and man’s rules we found what the true Gospel is: Grace and Forgiveness.
Lynn and I were brought up in a denomination that had the Law and lots of man-made rules. When I wanted to be in the choir I had to sign a card which stated: I would not go to movies, play cards, read comic books, smoke, drink alcohol, and participate in sexual sins and many more. This is not the Gospel of Grace
The Old Testament law was to protect us from evil, our health and a relationship with God. The rules on the choir card were created by the denomination to protect us from what they considered sin. We weren’t to go to movies because they were evil. It became a sin to go to the theater during the vaudeville days when dirty talk and burlesque reined. I went to my first movie fifty years ago and generally everything was G rated. Today’s movies many are evil or sexually improper and we should shun evil or the appearance of evil. Today a big evil is pornography in movies and on your computer screen.
I met a remarkable man Kobus van Rensburg, founder of SpiritWord from South Africa, at a Milwaukie conference. His focus was Grace and over 10,000 cripples had been healed in his ministry. This got my attention. It was their last night before, returning to South Africa, so they gave me over one hundred DVDs of his teaching.
After twenty-five years in ministry the Grace teachings revolutionized our personal relationships and walk with the Lord from the inside out. I had heard about grace and the finished works of Christ but really didn’t know the fullness what it is and all that receiving grace can be. Our desire is this book will give you the revelation of Grace so you can live free to be all God in His great Grace has called you to be.
Just before Jesus died on the Cross He said “It is Finished.” He finished paying the price for your sins past, present and future. He finished paying the price for your salvation, healing, forgiveness, daily provision and so much more. He didn’t say “I made a down payment on your salvation and healing now go work out the rest.”
Receiving God’s Grace gives you a new liberating view of yourself and others. You see through God’s perspective. God sees you and everyone as made in His image, valuable, beautiful, useful and He loves you despite your faults and failures. If you believe on Jesus Christ God sees you as righteous and perfect. When you have a personal relationship with Christ He lives in you and He that is in you makes you righteous.
Living God’s Grace makes your view of others that have failed you or fallen short of expectations, becomes God’s view of them. God will change your frown to a smile when you view others through His eyes. Do this and you will be doing a lot of smiling.
A famous quote we endorse is: You can’t do anything to make God love you more…You can’t do anything to make God love you less.
Critics of Grace say: It gives you license to sin. When we were under the law and man-made rules we were sin conscious. When you are sin conscious the enemy draws you mind to those sins you have struggled with.
You can be fee from sin, shame and condemnation through understanding and living Grace
