Clara’s life is not even a shadow of what it once was. She used to have a husband

whom she adored and a beautiful baby boy, but after losing her husband to a violent

incident during the Gold Rush, Clara finds herself unable earn money to support herself

and her son. In desperation, she accepts money in return for intimacy. Little did she

know that the onetime action would propel her into a life of prostitution.

Sending her son back east to live with her family, she gives herself over to a depraved

lifestyle. Although she longs to be free of the chains that shackle her to the shameful life

she leads, there appears to be no way out. She would end it all if she had the courage

to do so. Then she meets Timothy.

A man on a mission, Timothy is travelling across America to convert as many lost souls

as possible. But when he meets Clara, he is deeply affected by her raw pain. When the

opportunity comes to give her hope, he reveals his own suffering in an effort to help her

heal, but he didn’t count on his own heart getting involved.

Timothy wants to spread a message of love, but Clara scorns it and even doubts its

existence. Can he convince to love again?
