In fairness, I will refrain from commenting on my own story in this collection. My favorite is probably “That Was Falling” by A. E. Decker, which focuses on a boy in a training camp. He is about to be sold to a wealthy noble to work as a mindless bodyguard, and is desperate to keep that from happening. I picked up this anthology after seeing it was edited by Andi O'Connor. What a pleasant surprise it was to find she also wrote a story as did two.dear friends of mine. So this book has double specialness for me.All the stories included are incredibly well written and make you want more from each story.
