I did not regret picking up this second issue. I fell in love with Lee Bermejo's art. Then while reading Suiciders I also fell in love with his writing. We Are Robin is greatly written too. It's looking to become a great new series. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Bring on issue 3!
The first one really set the tone for this issue. This issue was great and the art was great! The dialogue between the group is great. Lee Bermejo's writing is exquisite. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series has to offer!
This book reminds me of a couple of books that DC tried recently - Green Team or the Movement - but without any superpowers. This issue sees Duke recruited into the group by a mysterious and disguise-happy stranger, then they begin dealing with the threat of the bombs planted in Gotham City.We do finally get a glimpse into who the rest of the characters are in the group, but no real idea as to the ultimate size of the "Robins" or anything beyond the texting or IMing of instructions and aid.
