Rarely would you read something from 3 decades ago and still find it valuable today. What makes “What is Strategy” age so well? Because businesses keep making the same mistakes over and over again. It is incredibly hard to not make these mistakes. They do not communicate strategy to their employees and customers. Not realizing that important things needs to be constantly repeated. If they are successful, they become cocky and tries to fight on too many fronts or throwing resources at the problem

Excellent write up on business strategy
A great review. The facts that Lotus notes has disappeared (or transformed) and Toys r us is no more is suggestive that strategy formulation is a moving target. You cannot just make it and sit back and hope to capitalise indefinitely. That would be a monopoly….right?
