The Sword of Adam

The Sword of Adam

J.T. Thorin
0/5 ( ratings)
"Trust belongs unto Virtue;
"Obedience is born of the Free;
"Judgement belongs unto Wisdom;
"A King the Servant shall be."

Ruins of a mystical splendor—whispers of a time now past—hint at a catastrophe long ago in the island’s history. It is a history known only to its sole survivor, King Ko’ahm, a lone immortal in a world of mortals. Locked away in his sadness, he rules in seclusion, few people having seen his face or heard his voice. Nevertheless, the king senses that one day soon a young man of obscure upbringing will approach his throne—a soul of great promise.

Meanwhile, Adam, a new husband to a budding family, has just made the most difficult decision of his entire life: to leave home. He has never left the place of his birth, having chosen instead to live a simple life as his fathers before him far away in the cold northern reaches of the kingdom. However, their money gone and their farm dry, Adam’s young family must await whatever salvation he can obtain in the world beyond home.

With rumors of eyes in the woods, rebellion in the island, and prophecies in fulfillment, Adam will soon find himself stirred into the heart of an ageless and perilous conflict. And the farther he travels from home the more he learns the truth of his hidden heritage. Indeed, Adam’s petitionary path to King Ko’ahm’s throne may not only prove the deliverance of every person he’s ever known, including his family, but also their destruction.
