"No one is certain of Kriket’s origin. Some think she emerged from Lake Lanier in Northeast Georgia, where she was first found. Not like a swamp monster, but as God’s gift to earth without a flesh and blood birth. Some say she descended from the luck dragon in the movie “The Neverending Story”, or from a Havanese, or from a muppet. All we know for certain is that she was brought to the Humane Society in Gainesville by a family who had spent their summer at Lake Lanier and fed her during their stay. We have always wondered – what kind of crazy people would give up such a sweet girl?"

So begins "My Sweet Fluff: Kriket's Story." This is the account of a silly and sweet dog that touched many lives with her spirit. This is my first published story and am thrilled to share her story with you. The story is approximately 7,444 words long and takes 25 minutes to read.
