General Daniel McIntosh, on completion of an assignment at the Indian Military Academy in India, packs his bags and leaves for London. On landing, he gets a message that makes him take a flight back from the airport. His son, Errol and Indian daughter-in-law, Anita had been killed in a road accident. He goes back in search of his two, orphaned grandchildren; Bunny aged three and Sunny aged eight.

This crusty old soldier who believed sons should follow their father's footsteps, learns from his grandchildren that freedom binds hearts more than strictures do.
